A Yellow Bat, A Pink Glove and A Panda Stocking Hat?

Today was the first day of T-Ball for Addison, and she wore her winter hat because it was so cold out!  Typically by the first week in June the hats have been packed away for the winter, but this spring/summer has been unusually frigid!  It doesn't feel like summer has started.

Addison starts swimming lessons on Monday, I don't think that wearing her winter hat in the pool is going to work out very well for her!

Last year Addison was not able to swing the metal bats that were provided by the summer rec. program because they were too heavy.   We ended up finding a foam princess bat for her that worked pretty well.  This year she is able to hold and swing a metal bat, it's one we bought her for her preschool graduation singing performance, she loves it, and she loves that it's yellow!  One year older, one year stronger; what a difference a year makes!

She isn't a slugger, but she can connect with the ball...

Tovin on the other hand wanted to be on the other side of the fence where the balls were.

Nathan and Elizabeth to the rescue!  Tovin was so delighted to be going over by the playground equipment, this way he didn't have to watch Addison having fun anymore, he could have his own fun on the slides!

Let's hope tomorrow the sun decides to shine through the clouds!
