Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to Jason, all of the grandpas, and two special birthdads!
Addison and Tovin are so lucky to have so many great "dads" in their life!

It was a beautiful Father's Day!  The weather was perfect and we were able to do some work outside!  I absolutely love productive days!

Addison and Tovin helped make Jason's gift yesterday while he was riding bike downstairs.  They had a great time getting their hands dirty, and trying to keep his gift a secret.  When I went to pick up the stamp pad I assumed that water-based ink would come off their hands easier than any other stamp pad, but as you can tell it doesn't come off at all!   We soaked, scrubbed and lathered again, but the ink won the battle!  Addison loved having a dirty hand, which is not typical for her, and...

Tovin was not too sure about it, which is not typical!

In the end they both enjoyed trying to wash the black ink off their hands.  I think next time I won't procrastinate and purchase a washable stamp pad!

Today we were able to celebrate Father's Day with some family members.  Great Grandma Bernie is always a favorite with the grandkids!  He has a great, positive personality and is like a kid himself!  Addison loves that he is always willing to play tea party with her, and Tovin loves to be teased by him.  They both light up when he's around!

Grandpa Denny enjoys playing with Addison and Toivn as much as possible, teaching them about how things work, looking for unusual things in nature while on their explorations, and anything that deals with farming!  They have a great time with him and learn so much!

We were not able to spend the day with Grandpa Dennis from TRF, but will see him this coming weekend, the kids are excited!

I wanted to get a nice picture of Addison and Tovin today.  Tovin wasn't too cooperative, but I think that the picture turned out well.  Tovin likes to flop over and lay on Addison while we are trying to take photos.  I think it's rather funny that Addison is holding his leg down knowing that at any minute Tovin will take a dive towards her!

This is a typical photo of the two of them!  While this is taking place they are both laughing, Jason is behind me trying to get their attention and everyone else that was around for this photo opp was egging them on!  It probably looked like a circus!

Jason is such a great dad!  He loves to spend time with the two of them as much as they love to spend time with him!  Thanks Jason for being so kind and loving, and trusting me when I brought up the "crazy" idea of adoption.

We are so blessed to have these precious children in your arms, and they are so blessed to have a dad like you!  What a great role model you are to them!

Wow, not sure how this picture happened, but it's probably one of my favorites!  It oozes love!

Along with the picture they made for Jason they also each picked out a box of candy yesterday to give him as well.  Addison and Tovin made sure that Jason didn't have to open the boxes ,as they took it upon themselves and volunteered to taste test each box for quality control and make sure that it was both ok and safe for dad to eat!

Happy Father's Day!

For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.
Psalm 100:5
